Learn about Bioenergy Healing

In the last year there has been a considerable increase in interest in bio-energy healing in Ireland. This has come about mainly as a result of the well publicised healing of Michael Flatley by Michael O’Doherty followed by the recent publication of O’Doherty’s book, Just Imagine A Life without Illness. In recent months there’s been a stream of queries into Bio-energy for Health about the therapy.

Over the course of writing this blog I have explained aspects of the therapy: a browse through the posts should answer a lot of the questions posed; I would also recommend a visit to my website http://www.bioenergyforhealth.com/

If you are interested in Bioenergy, watching videos is a painless way of getting information. I have linked up to various YouTube videos in the posts, here are a selection of them.

Bio-energy and Science

I have returned a number of times in this blog to scientific evidence for bio-energy therapy. The problem is that mainstream science has tended to shy away from research in this area, and this despite the growing body of evidence supporting its success in the treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.

Inhibitory Effects of Bio-Energy Therapies on Cancer Growth -- An overview of recent laboratory studies in the U.S.and its implications in cancer treatment (2008 第十卷第四期绎Vol.10 No.4) written by Kevin W Chen, Ph.D. MPH., Associate Professor at the Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine is an important publication for Bio-energy therapies (a range that includes Reiki, Qigong, Yoga and others), recognition of their efficacy and their future standing in medical treatment and self-care. It is available online at < http://www.qigonginstitute.org/html/papers/Chen_BIoenergy_Cancer.pdf >

Dr Chen’s Ph D is in Social Psychology with minor in Statistics, a combination which propelled him into the area of design and implementation of research projects that involve advanced statistics. He has extensive experience in research methodology relating to substance abuse and mental health. He is working on NIH-funded research projects to apply bio-energy therapy and self-care methods in treatment of addiction, arthritis, cancer and other health conditions.

Chen’s conclusion: “Encouraging evidence suggests bioenergy may have inhibitory effects on cancer growth, or prolong the life of cancer-infected animals, although improvement is needed in research design and replication of the findings. Bioenergy for cancer treatment is an area that is often neglected by mainstream medicine and research, and it should be seriously examined and considered as an important supplement to conventional cancer treatment.”

In his closing paragraph he writes, “Considering that there are no side effects in the bioenergy healings, and so much evidence exists on the benefits of bioenergy therapies for stress management and boosting immune system, the future of bio-energy therapy for cancer treatment is very bright.”
